yeah, you know what i'm talking about.

that play-that-i-talked-about-but-was-too-lazy-too-explain play.

Don't worry, I'm hyped right now, so I'll talk, but I'm gonna get through the sort of unimportant stuff first.

-Play name: Pirates of Penzance
-Auditions: started around the first week of school
-Got call back (10 leads/12 people got call backs)
-Looked on paper in hallway and saw my name under: Mabel/Mable
-September: started rehearsals
ALL STUFF DURING REHEARSALS (in order)
*listened to cd
*read through lines w/ book
*slowly started learning songs
*slowly started learning dances
*slowly went through entire play ONSTAGE
*slowly went through entire play, onstage, WITHOUT BOOKS
*went over finale
*went over finale
*went over other stuff (stuff that needed to be worked on more than the finale)
*went over finale... AGAIN
*day before 1st play (yesterday): finally looked like something decent

And now it is tonight. And the play was wonderful. Better than anyone of us thought the first performance would go. It went better than LAST YEAR'S PLAY, in which part of the stage broke. But nothing broke. No one forgot they're lines (and if they did: improve!) The only problem was the few times people were a bit late. I didn't REALLY go off pitch (or at least that's what my mom and dad say, but it's a parents JOB to tell you you're good, even if it was the most wretched thing they've ever seen)

I literally just got home. I'm probably gonna crash within the first hour or so. My mom is putting my hair up AS I WRITE, so that I can sleep with many joyous pins of hope and wonder sticking in my head. That way I won't have to do that much to it in the morning when I get to do this all over again! Twice!

I'm gonna stop now. That was kinda long. At least you didn't have to read through my changing-clothes-during-intermission epidemic. You can hear that tomorrow! XD
